Identification: many round yellow or orange light spots arranged in an irregular row

along each side of back from eye to tip; belly slate-gray

Range: Nova Scotia to south central Ontario; south to Georgia and Texas

Breeding: early spring, in the case of warm rains will migrate to woodland ponds

They can sometimes be found beneath stones or boards in moist environments or during wet weather.
