Carassius auratus - Goldfish (Cyprinidae)

Slow moving waters mainly rivers and impoundments containing high amounts of organic matter and aquatic vegetation. Less tolerant than the carp to moderate or high gradients, cool water, great turbidity, rapid siltation, domestic and industrial pollution.
