Eastern Milk Snake


The Eastern Milk Snake has a single anal plate. The belly is a white or cream colored with dark square splotches to give a "checkerboard effect (
Figure a)." The body is gray or tan with chocolate brown to reddish brown blotches that cross over the back and down each side. The back of the head has a "Y" or "V" pattern that goes from the nape of the neck extending to the head.
