Washington and Jefferson College - Drs. Hart and Lawrence
This study of Chartiers Creek and nearby streams in southwestern Pennsylvania involves Washington and Jefferson College and all the school districts within the watershed. Schools associated with the Active Science Initiative with Washington and Jefferson College are specifically expected to use this data base. ASI schools are Chartiers-Houston, McGuffey, Trinity and Washington school districts. Data which has been collected by the students and others are to be placed on this site for access by all.
Each teacher should send (email or snailmail) a filled out form with things not examined just left blank. This could be filled out a number of ways:
a. Present
b. number of taxa found, in parenthesis) example: 12 taxa
c. number if the number per area is known ex: 24/sq.ft.
d. a list of genera or species with the number of each shown in parentheses. Ex: Eugena(200), Phacus(30)/sq. ft.
