Faculty Roundtable: D-courses
The Teagle Diversity Home Team will host a Roundtable Discussion for faculty on D courses: “Where Are We Now? Where Are We Going?” on Thursday, October 27 from 12:00 – 1:00pm in the Media Room,
The examination of diversity at W&J under the auspices of the Teagle Foundation grant has produced some very intriguing findings regarding D courses in our curriculum. For example, it has exposed some confusion among faculty and students as to the nature of a D course, as well as questions regarding what should be classified as a D course. In some cases, the faculty and student perspectives are at odds with each other. As we move forward with curriculum review, it is important for the whole faculty to look closely at this component of our curriculum.
