Vote for W&J's Academy Awards
Back by popular demand! The U. Grant Miller Library wants to know which movies and actors the W&J community thinks are Oscar-worthy. Starting, Feb. 11th, we will be sponsoring an Oscar poll and asking everyone to vote for their favorites in the Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Visual Effects, Best Animated Feature and Best Picture categories. Will W&J vote the same as The Academy? That’s what we want to find out, and one lucky voter will win a gift basket.
The poll is open to all students, faculty and staff. Ballots are available in the Library or print your own. Completed entries should be dropped in the ballot box by 6 pm on Sunday, Feb. 24, a winner will be drawn at random Monday, Feb. 25.
During the poll, the Library will feature Oscar-winning films, as well as highlight the achievements of numerous Western Pennsylvania natives who won, or were nominated for, Academy Awards.
