W&J Red Cross Prepare & Share Kit Drive
What is it?
Prepare and Share is a kit drive effort in which essential preparedness items are collected, assembled in a pack and delivered to those who need it most. Having a preparedness kit is a simple way to ensure that families and individuals have vital items available in case of a disaster. It can be especially useful for people who are most vulnerable during this time, such as the elderly, people with special needs or those with language barriers. W&J is making an effort to equip people with necessities that can make all the difference should an emergency occur.
What can you do to help?
You can purchase particular items from the list below, and drop them off in a plastic grocery bag at our donation stations. There will be donation stations available in The Hub Lobby and the U. Grant Miller Library from Friday, January 11 – Friday, January 18.
If you would like to make a monetary donation in lieu of purchasing items, please make a donation with the Office of Volunteer Programs. You can either make a cash donation directly at the office in The Hub, or send a check written out to Washington & Jefferson College to the office address. If you would like to sponsor an entire kit, costs for the total kit items is about $40.
