Pittsburgh Polar Plunge

W&J SAAC, along with the PAC SAAC, took part in the Third Annual Pittsburgh Polar Bear Plunge, held at Heinz Field.  Eighty three students and advisors from the PAC SAAC jumped into the “cool” waters of the Allegheny River and were “freezin' for a reason” on December 2, 2012. The PAC SAAC was able to raise over $4,000 of the total $329,000 raised from this single event, all to benefit more than 20,000 Special Olympics Pennsylvania athletes.

W&J Plungers included Jimmy Gante, Erin Oberg, Hannah Shaner, Sam Sestito, Anthony Picozzi, Jessica Sweitzer, Stephanie Zur, and Jessica Cooper.  These 8 plungers accounted for $1,130 of the money raised by the PAC SAAC.
