Katie Rihn begins her first year as the Assistant Sports Information Director at Washington & Jefferson College in 2013-14.
Rihn spent the past two years as a graduate assistant in the athletics communications office at Saint Francis University. During her time with the Red Flash, she served as the primary contact for seven of the university’s Division I programs, including the 2013 Northeast Conference champion men’s golf team. She also took on secondary contact responsibilities for football and men's basketball.
Prior to her appointment at Saint Francis, Rihn interned for one summer at Robert Morris University. She got her start in sports information while in college at Waynesburg University as a student assistant. Her biggest project with the Yellow Jackets was heading the volleyball operation in the fall of 2010.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Rihn graduated from Waynesburg in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications. Earlier in 2013 she earned a master's degree in business administration from Saint Francis.
