Molly Macdonald begins her first season as the assistant women's lacrosse coach at Washington & Jefferson College.
Macdonald, a 2013 graduate of Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts, was one of the Lyons’ top attack players. A four-year member of the women’s lacrosse team and team co-captain her senior year, Macdonald earned New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors twice in 2013 and was named to the All-NEWMAC first team.
For her career, Macdonald totaled 115 goals, including 65 during her final season, which ranks her second in the school’s single season record book. Her collegiate goal (115) and point (130) totals rank her second all-time at Mount Holyoke.
In addition to her outstanding playing career, Macdonald served as a lacrosse clinic counselor for four years and spent one year as the New Durham Youth Lacrosse Clinic Director. During her time as clinic director, she started a youth program intended to develop interest in the sport of lacrosse for local girls in the surrounding areas.
Macdonald graduated from Mount Holyoke with a bachelor’s degree in architectural studies.
