In a two-week
workshop worth six graduate credits, W&J science
faculty teach the background knowledge and
laboratory techniques for a particular topic.
Public school teachers leave ASI workshops with
enhanced teaching skills and hands-on laboratory
experience to use in their classes. During the
academic year, the students of these teachers
participate in a relevant undergraduate lab at
W&J. In addition to the stipends listed below,
$1,000 is budgeted for supplies for use during
the workshop. Also, participating teachers
receive $500 to purchase supplies and materials
for their classrooms.
