Hot Jobs Panels

Throughout the school year, Career Services offers "Hot Jobs" panels based on the response of students to our questionaire requesting which professions they would like to learn more about. In the past few years, our panels, consisting of W&J alumni and other professionals, spoke on the subjects of Mental Health, Sales, Event Planners, Sports Management, and Medicinal Chemistry & The Pharmaceutical Industry. A question and answer period follows the presentation. Other topics have included Environmental Careers, and Living and Working with the Arts.

A recent example of a Hot Jobs Panel consisted of: Shelly Anderson (Sports Writer for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette), Attorney Frank Botta (Sports Agent), and Mr. John Simpson (from the Marketing Department of the Pittsburgh Steelers).  These professionals visited campus to discuss their careers and offer insight to students.
