Intriguing Internship from the Class of 2003:
Internship: Heather interned at the Washington Internship Institute at the Embassy of Croatia during summer 2005
Most recently Heather completed a Master's degree at The London School of Economics, London, UK, in European Politics & Governance, 2006. She is interested in pursuing a career in European Affairs / International Relations.
"Through the Institute, I worked four days a week at the Embassy of Croatia and took an international relations course on the fifth day. The internship was a really great experience. My international relations class had interesting speakers every week and visited different places in Washington, D.C., such as the Department of State. My internship advisor, Dr. Schmiel, helped me choose a list of organizations to which to send applications and kept me updated on the status of my career search as well as advising me on my best choices. I experienced working with students from a variety of backgrounds-international relations, journalism, psychology, and many more. I loved the experience!"
