"Through the Institute, I worked four days a week at the Embassy of Croatia and took an international relations course on the fifth day. The internship was a really great experience. My international relations class had interesting speakers every week and visited different places in Washington, D.C., such as the Department of State. My internship advisor, Dr. Schmiel, helped me choose a list of organizations to which to send applications and kept me updated on the status of my career search as well as advising me on my best choices. I experienced working with students from a variety of backgrounds-international relations, journalism, psychology, and many more. I loved the experience!"
