Enterprise Systems Analyst/Programmer
Washington & Jefferson College seeks qualified applicants for the position of Enterprise Systems Analyst/Programmer. BA/BS degree is required.
Position responsibilities include the following:
Oversee and manage a portion of the file server systems and processes relating to the College’s general operations including, but not limited to, Mac OS X computers, Windows servers, enterprise e-mail, Internet, shared data files and folders, SQL, user accounts, the Active Directory, group policies, system updates, lab image creation, security and backups, and Linux servers.
Attend relevant technical training classes and meetings which may involve occasional out of town travel. Communicate openly and otherwise work effectively as a team member with other Information and Technology Services employees, and with end-users having various levels of computer sophistication. Demonstrate an orientation toward initiating and maintaining open communication.
In conjunction with other team members, develop project plans and schedules related to upgrades, implementations, migrations, and training. Perform software upgrades after normal working hours, and be available from time-to-time for emergency and off-hour work. Perform other duties as assigned by the enterprise systems manager.
A successful candidate should have at minimum:
• experience managing and troubleshooting Mac OS X computers,
• experience managing MS Windows servers,
• a BA/BS degree in a relevant area or equivalent work experience,
• excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Linux server experience is a plus.
• A working knowledge of higher education is preferred.
