Faculty Position in Chinese
Washington & Jefferson College, located near Pittsburgh in Western Pennsylvania, invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Chinese. The position is non-tenure track with multi-year renewable contracts. The faculty member will be expected to teach three undergraduate courses in Chinese per semester, advise students, and be active in the life of the college. Salary and faculty rank will be dependent upon the successful candidate's education and experience.
Qualifications for this position include an advanced degree in Chinese language and literature, linguistics, or pedagogy/applied linguistics. Applicants under consideration must have native or near native fluency in Chinese and English, demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level, and a commitment to professional development.
