Tenure-Track Faculty in Marketing
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS POSITION HAS BEEN REPOSTED ON JANUARY 17, 2014. Washington and Jefferson College invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Marketing (specialty open). Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in Marketing or a closely related field (or be ABD with completion expected prior to August, 2014). A candidate who has a secondary area of expertise in International Business is preferred, but not required. We expect to fill this position at the Assistant Professor level but outstanding candidates at more senior levels may be considered.

Our Economics & Business Department offers majors in Business Administration, International Business, Accounting, Economics, and Financial Economics, as well as a number of minors and other interdisciplinary programs. The primary teaching assignment for this position will be marketing courses, to include Principles of Marketing and an upper-level marketing elective. The teaching load is currently 3/3 with an additional intersession course (typically an elective seminar in the faculty member’s area of interest) taught every other year during our three week January term. Tenure-line faculty members are also expected to maintain an agenda of scholarly research and to engage in a variety of service activities.
