Visiting Assistant Professor of Financial Management
Washington & Jefferson College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor in Financial Management beginning in August 2014. This appointment is a full time, non-tenure-track position for an initial term of three years that may be extended for additional terms depending upon incumbent performance and college needs. Candidates should possess at least a Master’s Degree in Finance or in a closely related field, or an M.B.A with a concentration in Finance plus substantial applied experience in Finance. A strong background in accounting is preferred but not required.

Our Economics & Business Department offers majors in Business Administration, International Business, Accounting, Economics, and Financial Economics, as well as a number of minors and other interdisciplinary programs. The primary teaching assignment for this position will be financial management courses, to include Principles of Finance, Financial Statement Analysis and an upper-level finance elective. The teaching load is currently 3/3 with an additional intersession course (typically an elective seminar in the faculty member’s area of interest) taught every other year during our three week January term. Faculty members are also expected to maintain currency in their field and to engage in a variety of service activities.
