Head Coach: Joseph Piszczor
Joe Piszczor, a McGuffey native, returns for his second season with the President’s Rugby team in 2011-2012.
During his first year, the men have made huge strides reviving the long standing tradition of President’s Rugby by having many lopsided victories against their opponents last spring. The season was highlighted when the men won their division at the Pittsburgh Rugby Classic, which is the largest collegiate rugby tournament in the Northeast. He believes “that good folks make good ruggers and I hope to teach our men that dedication, responsibility, and hard work pay off when you hold yourself as a gentleman.”
Piszczor, a graduate of Mercyhurst College, was involved in Wrestling, Football and Student Government while earning a degree in Business Management. He is still actively involved in the Rugby community and plays competitive rugby for the Pittsburgh Rugby Club at the men’s Division 2 Club Level.
Currently, Piszczor heads a financial planning firm in Washington and serves on three non-profit boards and the Rotary Club in our community including: Literacy Council of SW PA, Lemoyne Center, and a Community Action Southwest advisory council.
