W&J FACULTY AND COACH MENTOR PROGRAM

Washington & Jefferson Director of Athletics Bill Dukett instituted a faculty/coach mentor program in 2007 to provide a valuable link between the student-athletes and the faculty.  This program allows faculty members to serve as advocates for students participating in a given sport and fosters a working relationship between the faculty and coaching staff. 

Faculty team mentors enrich the overall experience for team members, encourage student athletes to be fully engaged in the curriculum and provide faculty colleagues with understanding of the mission of intercollegiate athletics.
