ffices of Diversity Programs & Multicultural Affairs and Student Activities Leadership and Involvement are proud to announce the fourth annual Leadership and Service Institute to be held August 25-28th.
This unique four-day program focusing on leadership, service, and cross-cultural collaboration offers an exciting and inspiring start to students’ first year at Washington & Jefferson College. The Leadership and Service Institute will provide participants an opportunity to gain valuable leadership skills, become part of W&J’s historical commitment to volunteerism, and meet students with similar interests.
Each participant in the Leadership and Service Institute will move in early and become familiar with the Washington & Jefferson College campus before the new formal student orientation program begins. There is no charge to participate in this program. Participants will be selected by applications, which are due July 15th. To apply students can fill out a downloadable application or complete the survey application online. Applicants will be informed if they are selected July 19th.
Are you interested in being a facilitator for the Leadership & Service Institute or the First Year Outdoor Experience? If so please fill out the common student facilitator application and turn it and your Resume into Assistant Dean Teanca Shepherd, either via email (tshepherd@washjeff.edu) or bring it to the third floor of Rossin Campus Center. Applications are due March 8th.
