The mission of The Office of Diversity Programs & Multicultural Affairs (ODPMA) is to develop quality programming to promote diversity awareness and understanding, 2) help coordinate efforts to support, retain, and graduate students from diverse backgrounds, and 3) enrich the college experience of our entire student body through diversity advocacy, academic support, and community outreach.
We define diversity as the presence and participation of people who differ by gender, national origin, age, race, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, and disability status.
Service to the Campus Community
ODPMA supports students from diverse backgrounds by serving as a resource to enhance their curricular and co-curricular college experience.
ODPMA strengthens the dialogue across the campus community about diversity. This dialogue intentionally promotes opportunities for students to share their social, cultural, and academic experiences.
ODPMA collaborates with various academic and student affairs departments around issues of diversity, student retention, and student development.
