Trumpeter Doug Reichenfeld has been performing and teaching in the Pittsburgh region since 1991. A graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory, Doug’s principal teachers were Esoto Pellegrini, Byron Pearson, Tony Plog, and his father, Arthur Reichenfeld. Doug holds a master’s degree in Music Education from Duquesne University and has done post-graduate work online at Berklee School of Music.

Doug has performed locally with the McKeesport Symphony, Westmoreland Symphony, Youngstown Symphony and the Chautauqua Symphony. He is currently a member of the Jazz Conspiracy Big Band, and is a regular free-lance musician in several Pittsburgh churches.  Doug is an instrumental music teacher in the Mt. Lebanon School District where he serves as department facilitator for elementary instrumental music. Prior to this appointment, Doug taught high school band in the Charleroi (PA) and Freehold Regional (NJ) school districts. As a band director, his groups have performed in Florida, California, New York City’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade, and in Georgia.

Doug resides in Mt. Lebanon with his wife Andrea and their three children.
