K. Christopher Beard, Curator and Mary R. Dawson Chair of Vertebrate Paleontology at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, will be visiting campus on 23 October 2012 to give two public lectures.
The first, titled Evolutionary Medicine: Four Legs Good, Two Legs Bad, will be held from 11:30 am – 12:45 pm in the Media Room. Students and faculty are welcome to bring lunch from the Commons. Faculty lunches will be covered by the First Year Seminar program. Pre-health students are encouraged to attend. The presentation will begin promptly at 11:45 am.
The second lecture, titled Into Africa: A Pivotal Step in Primate and Human Evolution, will be held from 7:00-8:00 pm in Yost Auditorium. All are welcome.
