The March Against Violence, known as CommUnity Voices Against Violence will be held on Saturday, November 17th @ 11:00 a.m. The march will begin on 50 S. Lincoln St. in front of Old Main, will commence into the city, and then loop back around to Old Main again. We encourage everyone to wear yellow to support the commUnity voices against violence movement. This march is the first step of many to unite the community of the Greater Washington area, to start a movement against violence, and to educate the youth of our area that a life of crime is not the answer. In addition to the actual march, there will be several speakers varying from students, local residents, and the Mayor of Washington, Brenda Davis. There will be refreshments on site as well, provided by local businesses. The police will also be present during this event.
