The brothers of Beta Theta Pi would like to welcome the incoming freshman into W&Js Greek life. Beta Theta Pi is a fraternity that cherishes the principles and beliefs associated with the Greek system. Our fraternity continuously strives to achieve the highest level of success possible in the variety of fields offered by the college community. The Gamma chapter of Beta Theta Pi at Washington & Jefferson College proudly upholds the traditions of our organization and chapter, as have our brothers at W&J over the last 167 years. Gamma chapter carries the prestige of being the oldest fraternity established on W&Js campus as well as the longest fraternity chapter in continuous existence of any fraternity in the world.
Beta Theta Pi is repeatedly recognized for its achievements both on campus and in the community. At W&J, a number of our brothers are recognized in many honorary societies. Betas involvement is not solely limited to academics. We also assist a number of philanthropic causes including the Washington Womens Shelter and the Washington City Mission. Finally, Beta can be recognized for its athletic excellence. Many of our brothers are involved in varsity sports and represent the College, making numerous all-conference rosters and holding many school and PAC records.
Brotherhood serves as the cornerstone of the Beta Theta Pi. This lasting bond of friendship is cultivated by being a part of a group of individuals that share the same goals and values. We constantly support each other in the pursuit of social, moral, and academic excellence. Gamma plans to build for the future of Beta Theta Pi here at W&J while making a strong impact on the Greek system in the upcoming years.
