Delta Gamma is based upon the ideals of fostering friendship among college women; promoting education, cultural, and social interests; and enhancing each individual's sense of personal integrity and personal responsibility.
Delta Gamma's national philanthropy, Service for Sight, is responsible for the aiding, through service and fundraising, in eye safety awareness and care. In the past, Delta Gamma has solicited old eyeglasses from the surrounding community and distributed them to needy third world countries with the help of Pearle Vision. Nationally, Delta Gamma hosts Anchor Splash each spring. This event brings together all of W&J's Greek life to compete in fun water games. Delta Gamma also can be seen running in Pittsburgh's Race for the Cure, walking for HealthAmerica, and participating in Pittsburgh's Walk for MS.
