Kappa Kappa Gamma focuses on academics, provides leadership and organizational management opportunities, and helps members in personal growth, self-awareness, esteem, and confidence. Kappa offers a diversity of backgrounds and interests among its members. At W&J, our Kappas are involved in numerous activities from sports such as field hockey, soccer, volleyball, and cheerleading, to organizations and clubs such as the Red & Black newspaper, dance team, student government, and Alpha Phi Omega, among others. Kappas are highly involved in philanthropy in both the community and nationwide. This past spring, we hosted our second Catch the Cure softball tournament for breast cancer awareness. Kappa is a "family" away from home. Kappa Kappa Gamma at its core is friendship, leadership, and scholarship, an opportunity and experience for a lifetime.
RIF stands for Reading Is Fundamental, which is our national philanthropy. Reading Is Fundamental works to build a literate nation by helping young people discover the joy of reading. RIF's highest priority is to serve the nation's under-served children and families through the development and delivery of literacy programs and campaigns that motivate youth to read regularly. Every year we help to raise money and donate books.
