Gender and Women's Studies

Gender and Women's Studies is an interdisciplinary minor focusing on issues of gender, sexuality and the ways gender and sexuality shape human experience through history and across cultures.

Courses are offered in almost every field from the arts and humanities to the social and natural sciences, and the minor can be combined with any major.

A Gender and Women’s Studies minor requires six courses, including a 100-level introductory course; Theories of Gender; and four additional courses, representing at least two academic divisions. With approval, a student can complete an internship or independent study as one of these courses.

Additional course information is available in the W&J College Catalog.
