This workshop will introduce these texts and explore the use of Die Suche in the German classroom to give American students linguistic and cultural information about this very important historical period. After introductory lectures, participants will work in groups to discuss and develop “standards-based” instructional ideas and activities. A bibliography of related sources will be provided. The workshop will be conducted in German.

Two hours of ACT 48 credits will be available for this workshop.

The Holocaust Center of the United Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh is located in Squirrel Hill on Darlington Road in the Rudolph Family Holocaust Center in the JCC Robinson Building. There is a public parking lot under the Kaufmann building of the JCC or the library, or on the street.
