Washington & Jefferson College

Washington & Jefferson College operates on a 4-1-4 academic calendar. Students take four courses during the fall and spring semesters, and one course during the month of January which is called Intersession. It is a three and a half week term during which students have several exciting options:

• Take a course on campus
  • The courses offered on campus each Intersession are highly focused and allow students to delve into a very interesting, specific topic such as Corporate Failures, Frauds, & Scandals; Southern Belles & Steel Magnolias; or Neuroscience at the Movies!
• Have an internship
• Do research
• Study abroad
  • Typically each year there are between 10-15 intersession study abroad courses offered.
