John J. Gregor is a professor in the department economics and business. He is the immediate past president of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Chamber's Executive Board.

Prior to joining the faculty at W&J, he taught at Plymouth State College in New Hampshire and Penn State. He also worked as a research assistant for The Center for Environmental Policy at Penn State and the Urban Institute in Washington, D.C. His experience as a professional consultant includes work at Policy Research Associates in State College and Resource Planning Associates in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He has done consulting on a variety of topics for clients such as Air Products, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, AMOCO, and General Public Utilities. Dr. Gregor has articles published in the Journal of Economics and Finance and Elective Perspectives. His work was featured on the front page of the Wall Street Journal. In addition to his work with the Chamber, John serves on the boards of directors for the Economic Education Foundation of Southwestern Pennsylvania and the Washington Area Teachers Federal Credit Union, where he is chairman.

He is a member of the Washington Kiwanis Club and served as president in 1998 and 1999. He was a coach for TWIST softball teams for 10 years. John, his wife, Melissa, and their three children, John, Briana, and Joelle, live in North Franklin Township.
