As you know, students have been working hard to memorialize and honor Tim. Many of you have asked how to participate in their fundraisers and memorial efforts.
The McNerney family has indicated that they would like to establish a scholarship in Tim's name, as well as assist an organization that helps those affected by heart defects (http://www.itsmyheart.org). Donations to the College and to It's My Heart are tax deductible.
Donations for the scholarship fund may be sent to the Office of the President. Checks may be made out to Washington & Jefferson College. Please be sure to designate these funds to the McNerney scholarship. Of course, we will let the McNerney family know of your gift. You may also donate on-line. Again, please be sure to designate your gift to the McNerney scholarship. You may also choose to have your gift given "In Honor" of Tim McNerney.
W&J's annual Steelers' Charity Basketball game is on March 6, 2013 at 8pm in Henry Gym, with the proceeds benefitting the Tim McNerney Scholarship and Washington County Special Olympics. To get tickets ($7 in advance or $10 at the door) or for more information, visit www.washjeff.edu/steelers.
