Magellan Project Description
I traveled to Livingstone, Zambia in July 2011. I volunteered in medical clinics and performed home-based care traveling around to different villages and prescribing OTC medication to those who need it. I also volunteered at the Old People’s Home and played with children in afterschool programs. I was also able to experience a weekend safari, white-water rafting, and bungi jumping off Victoria Falls on my weekends in Zambia!

How will your Magellan Project help with your plans after graduation?
I gained many patient-contact care hours, which are needed when applying to Physician Assistant School.  The experience opened my eyes to a whole new world that really changed my perspective on many issues.
