2011 Conference on Undergraduate Research in Mathematics

Dr. Ryan Higginbottom, Dr. Michael Woltermann, and Dr. Roman Wong were accompanied by six students (from left to right), Kristina Woodside, Emily Sasala, Sammi Taylor, Marie Buggey, Cammie Monahan and Kerri Nunnamaker, , and to the 2011 Conference on Undergraduate Research in Mathematics (CURM) at Penn State University on November 4-5.  Nunnamaker gave a talk on “Representation of an integer as harmonic means”.  This is part of her Senior MathTalk supervised by Dr. Wong.  Woodside also presented a talk on “Tiling deficient chessboards with n- polyominoes”, an extension of her Junior MathTalk she and Joe Paouncic did with Dr. Higginbottom last year.
