Dr. Claire Burns (Biology) attended workshops focusing on enhancing Education in Genomics. Attendance at the Genome Access Course at Cold Spring Harbor (19th-20th April) and the Undergraduate Bioinformatics Course at St. Vincent’s College, Latrobe, PA (2nd–3rd June) were supported by W&J's HHMI grant. Dr. Burns also attended a free Genomics in Education class in St. Louis (7th-8th July) run by the Cold Spring Harbor DNA Learning Center. Together, these courses allowed Dr. Burns to access resources needed for course development, and to connect with other local faculty in the area of genomics education.
