Students and Faculty Attend Regional Math Conference

Eight students and five math faculty members attended the 2011 Mathematical Association of America Allegheny Mountain Section meeting at Clarion University in April. Jennifer Magee presented "e as a Transcendental Number" and Welter presented "An Analytic Proof of Pascal's Theorem." Both works were the Senior Mathtalks the students completed with Dr. Woltermann. Summer Sprowls won a prize at the Student Problem Competition and Welter received a math book at the raffle.

Other students in attendance were Gary Hlusko, Elizabeth Kress, Mackenzie Martin, Ted Passyn and Eric Stultz.
