W&J Students Attend 2012 Mathematical Association of America
Eleven students (Erin Barno, Ben Cecchini, Tori Clark, Ron Graf, Jared Jones, Laura Lee, Mackenzie Martin, Tori Merten, Jackie Mitchell, Eric Stultz, and Hope Snyder) and seven math faculty attended the 2012 Mathematical Association of America (MAA) Allegheny Mountain Section meeting at West Virginia University on April 13-14. Mitchell presented “The Basel Problem”, her Senior MathTalk supervised by Dr. Wong. Cecchini and Merten presented “Generating Functions: A Closer Look At The Fibonacci Numbers”, their Junior MathTalk supervised by Dr. Doherty.
