WASHINGTON, PA (April 17, 2012)—Washington & Jefferson College closes out its 30th anniversary Arts Series season with the return of the Glenn Miller Orchestra for a performance April 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the Olin Fine Arts Center.
This world famous historic swing and jazz band played to a sold-out crowd at W&J in 2008 and has been touring for more than 50 years, playing such hits as “In the Mood,” “Rhapsody in Blue,” “A String of Pearls,” and “Chattanooga Choo-Choo.”
Touring consistently since 1956 and playing an average of 300 concerts a year, the Glenn Miller Orchestra is considered to be one of the greatest bands ever.
Tickets are $12 general admission; $10 for seniors 60 and over, alumni, and non-W&J students; and $7 for children 12 and under.
