Physical Education

A W&J student exercises in Swanson Wellness Center.

The Department of Physical Education and Wellness provides students with skills in recreational activities and wellness concepts, as well as knowledge to make healthy lifestyle choices.

All students must complete the equivalent of one course in PE/Wellness, in addition to the 34 courses required for graduation. Participation in a varsity sport, as this participation is defined by the Athletics Department, will count as a full-semester (1/2) course.

The department offers courses in numerous sports, outdoor activities, and skilled physical activities, as well as sports nutrition, self-defense and lifeguarding/lifesaving. Additional information is available in the W&J College Catalog.
