Joel Cannon is a professor in the Department of Physics. His research interests are in theoretical and computational condensed matter physics, focused on phase transitions and critical phenomenon. More recently, he has become interested in biological physics. Dr. Cannon is also involved in investigating methods of reconstructing traffic accidents using physics; an interest sparked due to his experience as an expert witness.
