Areas of Study
Nancy Klimcheck is an active teacher and performer throughout the Pittsburgh area.
Klimcheck made her solo debut with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra in 2005 in Haydn’s Mass in Time of War. She also sang the role of Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn in Marvin Hamlisch’s 2009 production of The Music Man at Heinz Hall.
A prolific choral singer, Klimcheck has been a member of the professional core of the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh for 17 years. She has also been a teaching staff member of the Junior Mendelssohn Choir for nine years. Klimcheck maintains a private studio and also teaches for Point Park University’s summer sessions.
Klimcheck holds a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance and a master’s degree in music education from West Virginia University.
