Areas of Study

H.J. Manzari is an associate professor of Spanish in the Department of Modern Languages.  Sharing his ideas and knowledge of various languages with young people, he travels frequently to Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe. He has directed programs in Granada, Spain; Venice, Torino, Florence and Rome, Italy; San Jose, Costa Rica, as well as Santiago de los Caballeros in the Dominican Republic.  He is the Executive Director of Voces del Caribe, the first online journal dedicated to cultural production in the Hispanic Caribbean.  Dr. Manzari serves also as an advisor for Sigma Delta Pi—Spanish honor society, the International House and the Latino/a Culture Association.
