Yang, Mei Yu

Mei-Yu Yang (B.A. Soo-Chow University, Taiwan) is an Adjunct Professor of Chinese in the Dept. of Modern Languages. She teaches elementary, intermediate and advanced courses. Her interests include developing curriculums in Chinese languages, culture, literature and the promotion of a Chinese program as a minor/major course; and to help develop the CAPL project in Chinese language. She was the former Principal of Pittsburgh Chinese School and taught at Community College of Allegheny County and Saint Vincent College. With her 38 years of teaching experience in Taiwan and America, she has received the outstanding teacher award from the Association of Chinese Schools. She is an active member of the Organization of Chinese Americans and a Board member of Tzi Chi Academy Pittsburgh chapter.
