Proximity to Pittsburgh

One of the most distinct features of Washington & Jefferson College is its location. Thirty minutes from an international airport, W&J draws students from all fifty states and across the globe. Students have the opportunity to experience college life in the small town of Washington, PA, but can readily access the most livable city in the United States — Pittsburgh! W&J is located just 30 miles south of the city, so students can take advantage of all of the opportunities that a major metropolitan area has to offer.

The College provides a free shuttle -- the Pittsburgh Pipeline -- to take students to and from  Pittsburgh.
