W&J is a four-year residential college that requires all students to live on campus. Students may be granted commuter status if they meet one of the following criteria:
-
Lives with a parent/guardian who lives within 15 miles of campus
-
Is married
-
Has dependent children living with him/her
-
Is age 24 or above
-
Has completed a tour of active duty in the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, or Navy
All students seeking Commuter status must apply using this Commuter Petition (PDF). Current commuter students must reapply to maintain their status. Failure to reapply will result in the students being assigned and charged for housing for the following academic year. Students are considered to be living on campus until their Commuter petition is approved. They should still participate in the Housing Selection process until notified otherwise by the Office of Residence Life. Completed petitions must include all necessary documentation for a request (proof of local residency, etc.).
The deadline to submit a Commuter Petition for the 2013-2014 academic year is March 15, 2013.
