Renovation of Dieter-Porter Life Sciences Building
The renovation aspect of the project will focus on the Dieter-Porter Life Sciences Building (1981), the largest and newest science building on campus. Although there are significant problems with its mechanical and HVAC systems, its structure is sound and equipped to facilitate science instruction and research. Carefully planned renovations will transform it into a state-of-the-art, energy efficient science facility.
The renovated science quadrangle will set new standards for future renovation and construction for the College and the City of Washington, which prioritize environmental responsibility and community integration.
