"Students gain experience, Clients gain results."

The Small Business Center of W&J provides specialized, on-site management assistance to selected business owners. All work is performed by students, directed by faculty, and is free and confidential.

The SBC is an extension of the academic curriculum of W&J; it provides students with reinforcement of their education in management, accounting, and administration. There are benefits for both the SBC clients and the student participants.

SBC consultations are tied to the academic calendar of the College. Normally, consultations begin in September and February (occasionally in June) and conclude in December and May (for June, August), respectively. The actual consultation is done by a team of students in their senior year, under the supervision and guidance of their instructor. In each case, the student consultants will work closely with their client to analyze problems and prepare action recommendations. When necessary or desirable, the consultation may be extended over several terms and teams, split into separate problems.
