Bennett Gains All-PAC Honorable-Mention Selection
WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Washington and Jefferson College freshman middle hitter Lindsey Bennett (Pittsburgh, Pa./Brentwood) earned All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference volleyball honorable-mention selection on Thursday.
Bennett is the first Presidents’ freshman to gain postseason recognition since Becky Fletcher in 2002.
She led W&J with 171 kills and a .245 hitting percentage (171-466) in 27 matches this season. Bennett finished fourth in the PAC and top among conference freshmen with 86 blocks, including 35 solo denials. She also added 38 digs.
The Presidents finished the year with an 8-20 overall record and were 3-15 in PAC play under ninth-year Head Coach Fred Wallace.
