Chrissy Marcius Selected PAC Player Of The Week
WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Senior Chrissy Marcius (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) earned the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award on Monday.
Marcius racked up nine points in three matches last week and helped the Presidents (1-4) to their first win of the season, an 8-0 victory at Pitt-Greensburg on Sunday.
During the match with the Bobcats, Marcius set a career high with seven points (2g, 3a). Her three assists tied a career best set last season in a 5-0 win over Medaille. Earlier in the week, Marcius tallied W&J’s lone goal in a 2-1 loss at Wooster.
Marcius leads the team with 10 points (3g, 4a) and ranks tied for 28th in NCAA Division III with four assists. Last season, she finished eight in the nation with 14 helpers.
During her four-year career, Marcius has accumulated 25 goals and 22 assists for 72 points. She ranks fourth all-time at W&J in assists and fifth in both total points and goals.
W&J returns to Alexandre Stadium on Wednesday to face Marietta at 7:00 pm.
