Cody Peddicord Selected PAC Player Of The Week
WASHINGTON, Pa. - Washington & Jefferson junior Cody Peddicord (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) earned the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award the league announced on Monday.
Peddicord’s goal in the 84th minute gave W&J (1-4-1) a 1-0 upset victory over No. 17 Berry (Ga.) on Saturday at Cameron Stadium. The goal was Peddicord’s first of the season.
Peddicord was an All-PAC performer in 2011 after finishing second on the team with six goals and two assists for 14 points. He has now earned two PAC weekly honors, while the game-winning goal was the first in his 32-match collegiate career.
Peddicord’s sister, Molly, is a member of the W&J women’s soccer team; however, she is missing her freshman year due to a knee injury.
W&J continues its three-game homestand on Thursday when hosting Franciscan at 7:00 pm. Head Coach Ian McDonald will be aiming for his 200th-career victory.
